Stemma del Casato Crisafi - Grifasi - Crifasi - Grisafi

Il feudo di Lando e quello di San Basilio si trovano in Val Demone, tenimento della Piana di Milazzo, antico distretto di Messina.
1. - Vassallo Chichari ne era detentore, come erede dei suoi pro genitori.
Questi ne fece donazione a favore dell'Ospedale di S. Giovanni di Gerusalemme, sede di Messina, agli atti di Notaio Giuliano de Musco di Messina.
   2. - Visto e considerato però che l'ospedale suddetto, per diritto comune, era incapace a succedere, pensò il Vassallo di donare i feudi suddetti
a certo Bergo Cirino, suo affine, agli atti di Not. Giovanni de Leopoldo, li 24 gennaio 1397, previa licenza, con Privilegio Reale
dato a Catania, li 12 gennaio 1397.
    Ma intanto lo stesso Vassallo avea donato i detti feudi a Nicolò Crisafi, come risulta da un provvedimento reso dal
Re Martino, a 25 gennaio 1397.
I due donatari vennero a componimento, mercé‚ il quale il feudo di San Basilio restò per conto di Bergo Cirino e quello di Lando
per conto di Nicolò Crisafi. 
Provisione data in Catania, li 8 aprile 1400 (Registro Cancelleria anno 1399, foglio 56).
   3. - A 4 febbraro 1416 troviamo conferma dei due feudi a favore di Antonio Cirino, figlio di Bergo, quale conferma fu fatta da Antonio de Cardona, come Viceré di Sicilia (Conservatoria  libro 1434-39, tomo 2°, foglio 135).
Dopo non troviamo, fino al 1484, altre investiture. Il Barberi (*) riporta che:
   4. - Filippo Crisafi successe a detto Nicolò; non prese investitura e non risulta la causale del passaggio e la parentela.
   5. - Giovanni Michele Crisafi s'investi del feudo di Lando, a 30 luglio 1484
    (Registro Cancelleria foglio 539), per la morte di Filippo, suo padre; sposò certa Gentile.
   6. - Giovanni Vincenzo Crisafi s’investì, a 16 dicembre 1485 (foglio 233), jure francorum, per la morte di Giovanni Michele,
suo fratello, senza figli; si reinvesti, a 10 settembre 1516, per passaggio della Corona.
7.- Filippo Crisafi s'investi, a 29 marzo 1541 (f. 298), per la morte di  Giovanni Vincenzo, suo padre, e per permuta con Antonio,
suo fratello, a cui cedette il feudo di Cartolaro e si prese il feudo Lando; s’investi, in pari data, di metà del feudo di Pirago per la causale
suddetta; l'atto di permuta è in Notaio Antoniello Trimarchi; li 10 settembre 1540.
8. - Giovanni Vincenzo Crisafi s'investi, a 18 dicembre 1546 (foglio 289), del feudo Lando e di metà del feudo di Pirago, per la morte di Filippo, suo padre; si reinvesti, a 30 dicembre 1557 (foglio 125), per passaggio della Corona.
9. - Beatrice Grisafi s'investì del feudo Lando, a 17 aprile 1597 (foglio 454), per la morte di Giovanni Vincenzo, suo padre;
la meta' de li feudo di Pirago passò, per la causale suddetta, in persona di Mannunzia de Crisafi, sua sorella.
La detta Beatrice sposò, Girolamo Giuseppe La, Rocca, e questi s’investì del feudo di Lando a 2 dicembre 1598 (foglio 159);
la moglie s’investi, a 10 luglio 1601 (foglio 134), per  la morte di suo marito. Questa Dama sposò in seconde nozze, il Capitano Girolamo Clavixo
(o de Clanizzo) che nel nome maritale si investi a 30 marzo 1604 (foglio 255);
morto il secondo marito, la Beatrice si reinvestì a 23 luglio 1606 (foglio 368).
   10. - Onofrio Rigales s’investì, a 19 giugno 1612 (f. 228), del feudo di Lando per la morte di Beatrice Grisafi, sua zia.
Era figlio, detto Rigales di Mannunzia Crisafi fu Giovanni Vincenzo e si era investito di metà del feudo di Pirago, a 14 settembre 1607
(foglio 60), per la morte di sua madre. Si reinvestì, di detti beni con loro Baronia a 16 marzo 1622 (foglio 206).
Questo Onofrio Rigales, sposò Eleonora Balsamo.
La detta Eleonora fu erede del marito; questa cedette  la metà del feudo, di Pirago ed il feudo di Lando a:
      11. - D.na Cornelia Balsamo, sua madre; questa s’investì a 12 agosto 1639.
       12. - Federico Spadafora, figlio di Pietro, Principe di Mazzara e di Lucrezia  Ventimiglia, sposò Eleonora Balsamo, vedova Rigales.
Questa dama gli portò in dote la Baronia e feudo di Lando e metà del feudo di Pirago, che ebbe donati dalla madre Cornelia Balsamo.
S’investì detto Spadafora, a 14 giugno 1651 (foglio 157).
Si reinvestì, a 16 settembre 1666 (foglio 279), per passaggio della Corona.
Per la morte del marito, e come sua erede universale, la Eleonora s' investì a 8 aprile 1679.
La investitura procede per il feudo di Lando e metà del feudo di Pirago.
I dotati fra di loro furono, stipulati da Notaio Antonio Di Mari di Messina, li 16 giugno 1650. 
Il testamento di detto Federico fu rogato da Not. Leonardo di Miceli da Palermo, li 28 novembre 1677. 
Detto Federico morì in Palermo a 10 aprile 1678 e fu ivi sepolto nella chiesa  del Convento di S. Francesco di Paola fuori le mura.
(Conservatoria  vol. 1148,  foglio 137).
       13. Onofrio Spadafora, P.pe di Mazzara, s’investì della Baronia e feudo di Lando e metà del feudo di Pirago per la morte e come erede
universale di Eleonora, sua madre, Duchessa di Spadafora. 
S’investì, a 3 giugno 1715 (foglio 131).
       14. Anna Spadafora Balsamo Duchessa di Spadafora s’investì dei beni suddetti e Baronia, a 25 settembre 1720 (foglio 28),
come erede universale di Onofrio, suo fratello. Il testamento di lei è in Notaio Nicolò Imperatore di Messina, li marzo1722.
15. - Alvaro Villadicani s’investì, a 19 maggio 1726 (foglio 168), per la morte senza figli della Duchessa Anna Spadafora, sua nonna e ciò per
sentenza della Regia Gran Corte. Sposo' Lucrezia Crisafi.
Fu senatore di Messina e Confrate del Grande Ospedale nel 1744. Governatore degli Azzurri (1741).
Fu Marchese di Condagusta, e Principe della Terra e Castello della Mola, che acquisto' con verbo Regio da Giuseppe, Lanza Principe di Trabia per
onze 1250 agli atti di Not. Girolamo Lionti di Palermo, li 17 settembre 1756, ed atto di nomina in Notaio Giovanni Cugino di Palermo,
li 25 settembre 1756. 
Quale titolo era prima di P.pe di Casteferrato e fu commutato in Mola per Privilegio del Real Patrimonio, dato in Palermo, li 21 dicembre 1756. 
S’investì di tale titolo a 24 dicembre 1756 (Protonotaro 1756-57 foglio 18).

Feudo of Lando and the one of Saint Basilio are found in Val Demone, land of the Piana of Milazzo, ancient district of Messina.
1. - Vassallo Chichari was the holder, like heir of it from the parents. 
He made donation of it to favor of the Hospital of S. Giovanni di Gerusalemme, center of Messina, to the actions of Notary public
Giuliano de Musco of Messina. 
2.- Approval and considered that the aforesaid hospital, for common rights, was incapable to receive it, the Vassallo thought to donate
the feudi aforesaid to Bergo Cirino, his analogous one, to the actions of Not. Giovanni de Leopoldo, 24 January 1397, licence,
with Real  privilege given at Catania, 12 January 1397.
But while the Vassallo donated those feudi to Nicolò Crisafi, as he turns out from a provision rendered from the King  Martino, to 25 January 1397. The two accorded,mercé, which the feudo of the Saint Basilio remained on behalf of Bergo Cirino and that one of
Lando on behalf of Nicolò Crisafi. Provision given in Catania, the 8th April 1400
(Registry Papal chancery year 1399, sheet 56). 
3. - 4 February 1416 we find confirmation of two feudi in favor of Antonio Cirino,son of Bergo, which confirmation was made from
Antonio de Cardona, Viceré of Sicily (Conservatoria book 1434-39, volume 2°, sheet 135).
Then we do not find, until the 1484, other investiture. The Barberi (*) filler that.
4.- Filippo Crisafi succeeded to Nicolò; took the titles and does not turn out the motive of the passage and the relationship.
5.- Giovanni Michele Crisafi invested himself of the feudo of Lando, 30 July 1484
(Registry Papal chancery sheet 539), for the dead women of Filippo, his father; he married Gentile.
6.- Giovanni Vincenzo Crisafi invested, 16 December 1485 (sheet 233), jure francorum, for the dead 
women of Giovanni Michele, his brother, without sons; plow back, 10 september 1516, for passage  of the Crown. 
7.- Filippo Crisafi  you invested, 29 March 1541 (sheet 298), for the dead women of GiovanniVincenzo, his father, and for exchange with Antonio, his brother, to which it yielded  the feudo of Cartolaro and taken feudo the Lando;  he invested, in given par, of half of
the feudo of Pirago for the aforesaid motive; the exchange action is in Notary public Antoniello Trimarchi; the 10th September 1540.
8.- Giovanni Vincenzo Crisafi s' you invest, to 18 Decembers 1546 (sheet 289), of feudo the Lando and half of the feudo of Pirago,
for the dead women of Filippo, its  father; you plow back yourself, to 30 Decembers 1557 (sheet 125), for passage of the Crown. 
9.- Beatrice Grisafi  invested of feudo the Lando, 17 April 1597 (sheet 454), for the dead women of  Giovanni Vincenzo, his father;
the half deli feudo of  Pirago passed, for the aforesaid motive, in person  of Mannunzia de Crisafi, his  sister.
The said Beatrice married, Girolamo Giuseppe, Rocca, and these  invested of the feudo of Lando to 2 Decembers 1598 (sheet 159); the wife invested herself,10 July 1601 (sheet 134), for the dead women of her husband.
This Dama married in second wedding, Captain Girolamo Clavixo (or de Clanizzo) that in 30 the maritale name  invests March 1604 (sheet 255);
died the second husband, the Beatrice plowed back itself to 23 July 1606 (sheet 368).
10.- Onofrio Rigales  invested, 19 june 1612 (sheet 228), of the feudo of Lando for the dead women of Beatrice Grisafi, his aunt.
He was son, saying Rigales di Mannunzia Crisafi was Giovanni Vincenzo and had been invested of half of the feudo of Pirago, to 14 september 1607 (sheet 60), for the dead women of his mother. He was plowed back, of sayings assets with they Barony to 16 March 1622 (sheet 206).
This Onofrio Rigales, married Eleonora Balsamo. The said Eleonora was heir of  the husband; this yielded the half of the feudo, Pirago and
the feudo of Lando to:
11. - D.na Cornelia Balsamo, his mother; invested 12 August 1639.
12. - Federico Spadafora, son of Peter, Prince of Mazzara and Lucrezia Ventimiglia, married Eleonora Balsamo, vedova Rigales.
This dama carried in dowry the  Barony and feudo of Lando and half of the feudo of Pirago, that had donated from the mother Cornelia Balsamo.
She invested Spadafora, to 14 june 1651 (f.157. was plowed back, to 16 september 1666 (sheet 279), for passage of the Crown. For the dead women of the husband, and like her universal heir, Eleonora invested April 1679. The investitura proceeds for feudo of Lando  and the half of the feudo of Pirago.
The equipped ones between of they were, stipulated from Notary Antonio Di Mari of Messina, 16 june 1650.
The saying  testament Federico was rogato from Not. Leonardo di Miceli from Palermo, them 28 November 1677.
Saying Federico died in Palermo to 10 April 1678 and was here buried in church of the Convent of S. Francisco di Paola outside the walls (Conservatoria  vol. 1148,  sheet 137). 
13. - Onofrio Spadafora, P.pe di Mazzara,  invested of the Barony and feudo of Lando and half of the 
feudo of Pirago for the dead women and like universal heir of Eleonora, his mother, Duchessa di Spadafora.
Invested, 3 june 1715 (sheet 131). 
14. - Anna Spadafora Balsam Duchessa di Spadafora invested of the aforesaid assets and Barony, to 25 september 1720 (sheet 28),
like universal heir of Onofrio, his brother. The testament of she is in Notary Nicolò Emperor of Messina, the March 1722. 
15.- Alvaro Villadicani invested, 19 May 1726 (sheet 168), for the dead women without sons of the Duchessa Anna Spadafora, his
grandmother and that for Short sentence of the Great Direction. He married Lucrezia Crisafi. He was senator of  Messina and Confrate of the
Great Hospital in 1744.
Governor of Blueta (1741). He was Marquis of Condagusta, and Prince of the Earth and Castle of the Mola, that he acquired with Regal
verbo from Giuseppe, Lanza Prince of Trabia for onze 1250 to the actions of Notary Girolamo Lionti of Palermo, the 17 september 1756,
and action of nomination in Notary public Giovanni Cousins of Palermo, the 25 september 1756.
Which title was before P.pe di Casteferrato and was commutato in Mola for Privileges of  the Real Patrimony, data in Palermo,
them 21 Decembers 1756.
Invested of such title 24 December 1756 (Protonotaro 1756-57  sheet 18).
